Meet Rodger and Gwen Wehage
Signs of a tax preparation future for Rodger began in high school when he was elected Math Club President. As early as 15 years old, Rodger began preparing his own personal and business tax returns.
After High School, Rodger received his Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering. He worked in the nuclear industry for almost 27 years including the Trojan Nuclear Plant. Rodger qualified in both the mechanical and nuclear engineering fields as a registered professional engineer. He was elected and served in the Oregon State Legislature in the 1980’s.
In the late 1990’s, he started and ran his own S-corporation serving both Oregon and Washington. Rodger and Gwen also owned and operated their own tree farm for three years.
Starting in 2002, Rodger worked as a tax preparer at a national tax preparation franchise. His wide-ranging experience in human endeavors have contributed greatly to his tax preparation abilities and success. He was quickly promoted to regional manager. In 2008, Rodger qualified as an enrolled agent with the IRS.
In 2009, Rodger received the company’s Tax Preparer of the Year award for the Western United States region.
Rodger and his wife Gwen served as foster parents and raised six children of which four are adopted. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2021.
